DENIM JACKET. WRANGLER.
STRIPED T-SHIRT. & OTHER STORIES.
SKIRT. ZARA.
FISHNET TIGHTS. ALBERT CUYP MARKET.
BOOTS. DR. MARTENS.

Skirts are for girly-girls, anyways that's what I believed as a teenager. On the playground all "popular" girls with denim Indian Rose skirts and Repetto ballerina's would gossip about the newest boy in the class. I was somewhere 20 meters away from that, in my Coolcat army pants and brown Palladium boots in the invisible zone. Maybe it was there and than that I developed an aversion to skirts, I thought girls were vulnerable and pigeonholed by wearing this utterly feminine piece of clothing. Until this day I am still not a fervent skirt wearer, namely because I still fear the label "girly-girl". Carefully I select my skirt moments, as I did here. Paired with my Dr. Martens, fishnet tights and denim jacket I avoid all dreadful labels and feel completely at ease in my skirt.

  2. A lot of Dutch girls are terrified of skirts, like they are terrified of heels. I have lived in Holland for 10 years now and it still amazes me. You've done well here though :).

  7. Well, if you love wearing western attires, you will surely like wearing skirts too. This is the most feminine and exclusive kind of clothing preferred by thousand of thousands of women around the world.

  8. Both have the same effect of creating a skirt that flares outwards but how full the skirt looks will also be affected by the type of fabric and how much it drapes. African Attire
