As you have probably already seen on my Instagram I've spend my weekend relaxing in midst of Hollands nature, Egmond aan Zee to be exact. Living in a city as dynamic as Amsterdam we often consider time spend at home as a break from our hectic lives. It's when I laid my eyes on the beach this weekend when I realized only nature can give us this pure inner silence and rest. Grown up in small villages (Voorburg and Wassenaar) close to our coastline I have always been surrounded by woods, sea and meadows and I guess these roots are still an essential part of the person I have become today. It's exactly for this reason I don't mind visiting my parents back at home frequently and stare into seas of rhododendrons for a couple of hours.
