Rain. As ordinary as high- and low tide. As unwanted as floods. In The Netherlands rain is never a surprise, and always expected. It can take up to 10 seconds, 3 hours or even an entire week. Which is exactly the situation currently. It might be an odd thing to say, but I like rain. Yes. Definitely odd. But I repeat, I like it when it rains. Especially after a few days of blue skies, I like the interruption of rain drops. I guess it's because it mentally allows me to stay home and focus on some wáy overdue tasks or maybe it's just the mental rest of not having to go anywhere. Back in Paris last summer I even decided to go outside during a quick shower just because it suited so nicely to the dramatic thoughts crossing my mind at that time. Okay, still odd.

However pouring rain, is something else. These last five days the streets of Amsterdam have been decorated by pouring rain and I don't have any overdue tasks left to complete. Knowing that I can't blog without looks, an entire week of rain automatically equals drama. Luckily the rain took a break yesterday... Tada!
