I had heard numerous promising stories about this place and had just Google imaged enough to make this visit an utter disappointment. There was no chance these utopic images could ever live up to my expectations. Until.., the first two steps down from the railway station: my mouth dropped, my eyes popped and my heart raised. I had just entered the most flawless movie decor, back in time, in a scenery of thousands of colors, with a magnificent view on sea including the typical elderly Italian actors. Woah.

We spend our day on the boat, hopping from one fishing village to the other, followed by a homemade vongole pasta and a swim between the rocks. Boy, this was idyllic. They are by far, far (!) the most photo-genetic villages I have ever seen. And I have seen quite some international villages (from Latin America to Asia) !

Yesterday we discovered the streets of Lucca and today it's Firenze's turn. More of that, soon.
