AWKWARD

No photographer, no favors left to call in and no content left to publish, nerves took over me this week. I was in no other position than consulting my Twitter account. With a simple tweet as "which photographer/blogger would like to shoot my outfit for LizaChloe.com in Paris?" I had made a desperate attempt at finding a solution. Many retweets followed, but no replies. Until my phone rang at which I received a private message and finally things took a positive turn.

Just a day later I took the metro to meet the sender of this random message feeling quite awkward and weird about this offline - online meeting. Not knowing the person that was about to take photos of my face, my outfit and my poses made me feel very self-conscious, which wasn't a too pleasant feeling.

In a random Parisian street I rang the bell of a massive wooden door that was about to calm down my nerves. A lovely smiling French girl opened the door and the rest of the story is shown above !

Though this awkward situation made me feel anxious, this is the reality of life whenever moving to another city/country. Crossing the boundaries between comfortable and uncomfortable, to explore alone and to undertake spontaneously in order to partake in the daily life of your new surroundings is required to make the most of it.
