QUEENSDAY

 N A T I O N A L    Q U E E N S D A Y 

Queensday, a national holiday that celebrates the birthday of our queen, Beatrix (and of our previous queen Juliana). Cities transform into music and dance festivals and orange colors the streets. Everybody's dancing, singing, drinking and cheering everywhere you look. Besides our national football games, this day is our annual festive peek. This year, my partner in crime, Hansje and I danced until the last legal beat (literally). I can officially say, a personal Queensday record. 

For you none-Dutchies out there, ever wanting to visit Amsterdam? Queensday is the day you should focuss your plans on. Queensday is the carnaval in Rio of Amsterdam. When? 30th of April.
